US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has hit back at Robert De Niro after the actor’s F-bomb blast at a recent awards ceremony.
Introducing Bruce Springsteen at Sunday’s Tony Awards, long-time Trump critic De Niro said: “I’m gonna say one thing – ‘f*** Trump’.
“It’s no longer ‘down with Trump’, it’s ‘f*** Trump’.”
However the American President, who has never been shy at rebuking his critics, took to Twitter on Tuesday to respond to the Raging Bull star.
In a series of tweets, he described De Niro as a “very low IQ individual”.
“Robert De Niro, a very Low IQ individual, has received to [sic] many shots to the head by real boxers in movies. I watched him last night and truly believe he may be ‘punch-drunk.’
“I guess he doesn’t realize the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all time high, and many companies pouring back into our country. Wake up Punchy!”
...realize the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all time high, and many companies pouring back into our country. Wake up Punchy!

Prior to Trump’s election, De Niro released a video in which he branded the Republican presidential candidate an ‘idiot’, ‘national disaster’, ‘bozo’ and ‘embarrassment’ to America.
With both men septuagenarians a meeting in the ring is unlikely, but you can expect this feud to run and run.
