PRINCE Charles has delivered a speech during his second day in Ireland, on the "deep loss" he suffered after the 1979 IRA murder of Lord Mountbatten.
He is due to visit the village of Mullaghmore, Co Sligo, where his great-uncle and three others died.
Earlier today, the prince and wife Camilla attended a civic reception, which was followed by a Peace and Reconciliation service at St Columba’s Church in Drumcliffe.
While there they also visited the grave of Irish poet William Butler Yeats.
