A 32-week pregnant woman was beaten and hospitalised following an attack at the weekend.
The incident was said to have occurred in Listowel on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
The alleged assault led the woman's to be stillborn hours after the incident.
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the assault but following questioning was released without charge.
The woman is receiving treatment for her injuries at University Hospital Kerry.
