Piers Morgan storms off own show after co-star calls him out for 'continuing to trash' Meghan Markle

PIERS MORGAN has walked out of his own TV show after he was called out by his co-star for his continued treatment of Meghan Markle.

Yesterday morning, following the bombshell interview between Meghan, Harry and Oprah Winfrey in which Ms Markle revealed she battled suicidal thoughts and said there was 'concern' in the Palace as to how dark her son's skin colour would be, Piers Morgan launched a furious tirade both on his morning show and on Twitter.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, whose father is from Galway, stated he did not believe Meghan Markle was suicidal, and was sceptical of the couple's claims that someone in the palace had made racist remarks about their unborn son.

He described the interview on Twitter as "vile destructive self-serving nonsense", "contemptible" and "an absolutely disgraceful betrayal of the Queen and the Royal Family".

The discussion on Meghan, Harry and the already-notorious interview continued on Good Morning Britain this morning-- this time by GMB weather presenter and Piers Morgan's co-star, Alex Beresford, who said Morgan's behaviour was "absolutely diabolical".

The treatment of Meghan and Harry in the press has been, "quite clearly" damaging to their mental health, and it was likely Harry had never gotten over being forced to walk behind his mother's coffin at a young age while the world watched, he said.

"I understand you don't like Meghan Markle," Beresford continued. "You've made that so clear a number of times on this programme."

"I understand that you've got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle-- or you had one-- and she cut you off."

Addressing the GMB host, who was looking away and not responding, Beresford continued "She's entitled to cut you off if she wants to!

"Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don't think she has, but you continue to trash her."

At this point, Morgan has clearly had enough-- he gets up from his seat and says "I'm done with this, sorry ... can't do this".

While clearly annoyed, Beresford continues to speak, saying "Piers spouts off on a regular basis and we all have to sit there and listen.

"6.30 to 7 o'clock yesterday was incredibly hard to watch."

Morgan returned to the show approximately 15 minutes later, writing on Twitter that he was "annoyed, went for a little cool-down and came back to finish the discussion".
