Piers Morgan does not believe Meghan’s claims that Harry was asked about Archie’s skin colour

PIERS MORGAN does not believe Megham Markle’s claims that Prince Harry was quizzed by someone in the Royal Family about Archie’s skin colour.

The Good Morning Britain host called on Harry to reveal who exactly spoke to him about his son after the couple refused to reveal the identity of the unnamed royal.

Markle made the claims during their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey with Harry later confirming that several conversations had taken place.

However, they refused to be drawn on who made the comments, with Markle explaining "I think that would be damaging to them".

Morgan has now called on Harry to clarify the claims amid concerns it has generated intense and unnecessary speculation around the Royal Family as a whole.

He said: "They didn't name who it was, so it could be any member of the royal family. Harry says 'oh, I'll never say who it was'. Well you better say it fast.

"It's odd though, because you were comfortable with sharing everything else in that interview.

"You are prepared to let that bombshell lie completely answered so we're left to think it could be anyone of the Royal Family that was apparently racist about the skin colour of your child.

"I just don't think that's acceptable."

Morgan had earlier confirmed his suspicions over Markle’s claims, tweeting: “I wouldn’t believe Meghan Markle if she gave me a weather report.”

Harry said the conversation, which took place before Archie was born, centred on what colour his skin would be - and "what that would mean or look like".

The 39-year-old said he would “never share” the full details of the discussion as it would be “damaging for those involved”.

An outspoken critic of the couple, Morgan has earlier vented his frustrations at the claims on Twitter.

This interview is an absolutely disgraceful betrayal of the Queen and the Royal Family,” he wrote in one Tweet.

“I expect all this vile destructive self-serving nonsense from Meghan Markle - but for Harry to let her take down his family and the Monarchy like this is shameful.”

He later doubled down on his criticism.

“Let’s be clear: Prince Harry and his wife just spent two hours trashing everything the Queen stands for & has worked so hard to maintain, whilst pretending to support her,” he wrote.

“And they did it while her 99yr-old husband Philip is seriously ill in hospital. It’s contemptible.”
