PIERS MORGAN has again hit out at Meghan Markle, branding her "Princess Pinocchio" on social media.
He was responding to claims that he was fired from his role at ITV's Good Morning Britain show in the wake of Meghan and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March.
"ITV didn't get rid of me," Morgan tweeted.
"I left because I declined to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio.
"But I still work for ITV."
ITV didn't get rid of me.
I left GMB because I declined to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio.
But I still work for ITV, as you'll see tomorrow when my Life Stories show with @Joancollinsdbe airs at 9pm. https://t.co/ez48HoXkiA— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) June 19, 2021
Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's explosive interview, where they smeared the British royal family with a number of damning accusations, Piers said that he "didn't believe a word" that came out of Meghan's mouth during the sit-down chat.
Meghan claimed she'd contemplated suicide during her time as a royal, and said that an unnamed member of the family had made a racist comments about the skin colour of her unborn baby Archie.
It's understood that Meghan contacted ITV personally to complain about Morgan's comments, which prompted the broadcaster to ask Morgan to issue a public apology.
But the former GBM host refused, and resigned in protest.
The 56-year-old has been one of Harry and Meghan's most consistent public critics, slamming the couple for hypocrisy, self-entitlement and even stealing the Queen's name.
