PIERS MORGAN has branded Prince Harry as “pathetic” and “whining” after the Royal gave a speech explaining he had no choice but to step back from the Royal family.
Speaking at a charity event, the Duke of Sussex said he and Meghan Markle stepped down with “great sadness” but had “no other option”.
A vocal critic of the Royal couple, Morgan rebuffed Harry’s claims.
"He had a choice," the Good Morning Britain host told viewers.
"Let's be quite clear. Prince Harry had a choice - do your duty, like everybody else in the royal family, and get all the palaces and all the servants.”
Morgan went on to label the speech “pathetic”.

Directing his remarks at co-host Susanna Reid, he said: "When you say 'why don't we leave them alone?' he literally made a speech last night whining again!"
"They won't stop yapping!"
Morgan went on to tell guest Paul Burrell, in a segment later in the show, that the speech made his “skin crawl”.
"When he says he had no choice, actually he had a choice [...] he wanted to do everything on his own terms,” he added.
His criticism comes after the Royal couple announced they would no longer use their HRH titles and would not receive public funds for royal duties.
They will also no longer formally represent the Queen and intend to repay £2.4m of taxpayer money for the refurbishment of their Frogmore Cottage.
