PIERCE BROSNAN made a brilliant James Bond for any number of reasons.
Cool, suave and ever so easy on the eye, the Irishman also had a knack for knowing when to play it serious and when to mine the character of 007 for laughs.
While Brosnan excelled in plenty of Bond’s more dramatic moments, it was his ability to deliver innuendo-laden one-liners with aplomb that put him alongside Sean Connery and Roger Moore as the very best 007s.
Here is a selection of Brosnan’s best lines as Bond – for your eyes only, of course.
Goldeneye
Xenia Onatopp: “You don't need the gun.”
James Bond: “Well, that depends on your definition of safe sex.”
