A PET festival is taking place in Dublin this weekend in Smithfield Square.
The event will be held between 11.30am and 4.30pm on Sunday and will feature a variety of stalls, activities and entertainment - and pets of course!
Organised by Dublin City Council, the annual Pets in the City festival will return and you’re welcome to bring as many four-legged friends as you like, providing they’re on a lead. (Bring as many two-legged friends as you like too - they probably don't need a lead though)
The organisers say you can expect to see “top dogs, curious cats and slithering snakes as Smithfield Square is turned into a pet lovers paradise!”
The DSPCA Dog Training Academy will host Dog Agility workshops and a Scruffs dog show, where members of the public are encouraged to enter their furry friends.
There will also be a small animal farm where children can interact with and learn about all kinds of creatures.
Pet health advice will also be on hand and local vets will be present to offer aid wherever necessary.
The family-friendly event also promises stalls for animal grooming products, toys, novelty items and accessories.
Food and children’s entertainment will also be on offer with the event hoping to attract around 5,000 people and a few of their animal friends.
