IN last night's EuroMillions draw, one lucky person has won themselves a tidy sum, just in time for Christmas.
One Irish person has won themselves €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw after buying it in a Tesco in Co. Kildare.
The ticket was bought in the supermarket on the Maynooth Road, which has scooped half a million euro with the winning numbers of 3, 10, 37, 48 and 50.
According to BreakingNews, the winner is still unknown but due to Christmas holidays, the pressure is on to claim the ticket as it has be given in by December 28.
Pat O'Sullivan, the store manager of Tesco in Celbridge wished the winner well: "It's great for the Celbridge area, especially in the lead up to Christmas. I have no idea who it is..."
He said he hoped for the winner to be a local customer: "We have lots of regular customers and at this time of the year, with business being a lot busier, it may be someone from further afield.
"But I really hope it’s a local here in Celbridge. I hope the winner or winners put the money to good use."
