NIGEL FARAGE has caused a stir by saying there should be a second referendum on EU membership.
Speaking on the Channel 5 show The Wright Stuff the former UKIP leader said he was beginning to have a change of heart on the matter.
Just last month it was reported that Farage would be coming to Ireland to advocate the country follow Britain out of the EU.
He reasserted his confidence in the public's support for Brexit today by saying: "My mind is actually changing on this.
"So maybe, just maybe, I'm reaching the point of thinking that we should have a second referendum on EU membership."
See how Twitter reacted below...
He said a second vote would be the only way to silence those who are pro staying in Europe.
"They will go on whinging and wining and moaning all the way through this process," the eurosceptic added.
Maybe, just maybe, we should have a second referendum on EU membership. It would kill off the issue for a generation once and for all. https://t.co/FQxniMi5MA

"I think if we had a second referendum on EU membership, we'd kill it off for a generation," he said.
"The percentage that would vote to leave the next time would be very much bigger than it was last time round.
"And we may just finish the whole thing off and Blair can disappear off into total obscurity."

Farage is due to speak at the ‘Irexit: Freedom to Prosper’ conference at the RDS in Dublin on February 3.
Twitter was quick to react to his comments, read some of them below and share your thoughts with us on our Facebook page.
No. To suggest as such plays into the hands of those who wish to overturn a democratic vote.
We have decided and simply must act upon it, anything else and its fraught with danger.
If Remain win what then? Accept it or best of 3? Its ridiculous— David Winder (@FreeSpeechGB) 11 January 2018
I guess Nigel is only saying this because he is sick of hearing remoaners saying we should have another referendum. He must be pretty confident that enough remainers have changed their mind since the last referendum #Brexit
