A MURDER investigation is taking place in Ireland after a woman was found dead in an apartment in Dublin.
It's believed the woman was stabbed in an incident in a home on Gardner Street at around 11.30pm.
Emergency services, including Dublin Fire Bridge and paramedics, were called to the scene.
A man was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation by gardaí based at Mountjoy Garda Station is now underway.
