A SUSPICIOUS object found in west Belfast has prompted a security alert in the area.
The PSNI are at the alert at Islandbawn Drive which was the alert set off on Sunday night, Christmas Eve.
People and residents are being advised to avoid the area.

Belfast councillor Tim Attwood warned people of the situation.

The local St. Paul's Parish Centre was opened for residents to sit and stay in for warmth while the object is dealt with.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the area has been made safe however we will bring you updates on this story.
