MRS BROWN'S BOYS star Brendan O’Carroll is to present a new BBC TV panel quiz show.
For Facts Sake will be shown on BBC One later this year.
The host will be joined by his fellow Mrs Brown’s Boys stars, who will captain the teams on a rotating basis.
The Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas specials look set to continue, however the Dublin-born star was at least glad of the temporary reprieve from Agnes’ wardrobe.
“I’m really excited to be doing a show where I don’t have to wear a bra!” said O’Carroll.
“When we did the pilot it was great fun – if we can capture that on the screen we are all in for a good time.”
The quiz show will see two teams compete in a series of rounds and games that uncover some amazing facts about the world we live in.
Each team will be captained by a rotating cast of Mrs Brown’s Boys regulars, with the rest of the panel made up of members of the audience, invited down to join the game.
For Facts Sake will be jointly produced by O’Carroll’s company BOC-PIX and Hungry Bear Media.
Dan Baldwin, Managing Director of Hungry Bear Media, said: “Brendan is incredibly bright, is the ultimate raconteur and has a hunger for exceptional facts and unbelievable historical truths.
"The show will put both his, and the audience’s, knowledge to the test with brilliantly funny rounds, games and VTs that push the public firmly in the spotlight.”
