A MOTHER and her two young children have been found in Ireland following a five-day search for the missing family in Britain.
Nottinghamshire Police Force launched a missing persons investigation on Friday, May 30, when 25-year-old Rosemarie Senior and her children Nora Lisa Ward, 3, and James Dean Docherty, 2, were reported missing from their home in Retford, in the East Midlands.
They were last spotted getting into a car driven by Ms Senior's boyfriend Sidney Winson at around midday on Friday, when they are all believed to have fled to Ireland.
On Monday, 27-year-old Mr Winson was found in Cannock, in the West Midlands, having just returned from Ireland.
This led police to extend their search across the water, where the Ms Senior and her two young children were located ‘safe and well’ in Dublin yesterday (Tuesday).
Last night Nottinghamshire police confirmed that the mother and two children had been located, stating: “Following extensive enquiries they have been found safe and well in Ireland today. They were found in Dublin and the gardai were assisting us.”
They added: ““Thank you to everyone who helped with the search.”
