Missing Dublin woman may have travelled to Britain

A MISSING Dublin woman may have travelled to Britain, it is believed.

Breda Delaney, 72, was last seen at her home in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, at around 3.30am on Saturday, July 11.

Her daughter Eimear made an appeal to the Irish media during the week, praying for the safe return of her elderly mother.

“She is very, very smart. She is interested in anything and everything,” she told The Irish Independent. “She used to teach physics at NUI Maynooth. She loves classical music, Italian and painting.”

Breda is described as 5' 4'' in height, of slight build and with blonde/grey hair. When last seen, she was wearing a white cardigan, a grey calf-length skirt and black shoes.

Eimear added that her mother had been very “anxious and distressed” before she disappeared.

She has also appealed to taxi drivers and ferry staff in Dublin, as there is a chance she may have travelled to Britain.

Anyone with information on Breda’s location or movements can contact Blackrock Gardaí on 0035316665200.
