A 21-YEAR-OLD has been charged with the murder of Irishman Michael Hunt.
Arry James Green, of no fixed abode, will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates' court today.
Mr Hunt, a 37-year-old from Co. Waterford, who was living in Selhurst, was found seriously injured in a skip in an alleyway off Station Road in South Norwood on Saturday March 15.
He died five hours later at Kings College Hospital.
Known as “Irish Mike”, Mr Hunt was originally from Co Waterford but had moved to Croydon in London about six years ago.
A shrine, including flowers and messages of tribute, has been set up close to where his body was discovered.
Police arrested Arry James Green in Purley on Tuesday and held him in custody.
A post-mortem began on Sunday but has yet to make any conclusions, while the inquest into his death opened and adjourned at Croydon Coroner's Court.
