A HUGE whale carcass washed up on a beach in the North of Ireland yesterday.
The 43-foot Sei Whale was spotted on Portstewart Strand in Co. Derry yesterday morning.
The beach makes up part of the renowned North Coast tourist hotspot in Ireland - just 10 miles from the Giant's Causeway.
Seagulls were flocking over the whale's carcass yesterday before diggers were brought out to remove the adult female last night.
She weighed more than 10 tonnes and was drawn away by a lorry to a landfill.
