A MAN'S body was recovered from the River Lee in Cork city centre in the early hours of this morning.
The body of a man believed to be in his 40's was recovered by Cork City Fire Brigade at around 6.22am.
Crews from Anglesea Street and Ballyvolane were called to attend the scenes of multiple incidents in Mayfield, the Glen, Knocknaheeney, Sunday’s Well and the city centre overnight.
According to a spokesperson, the man has been identified but his name will not be released until the family has been informed.
