A NORTHERN Irish man could face jail time following his actions in a Chinese restaurant.
In Derry's Crown Court earlier today, a trial commenced hearing the case of a 64-year-old man who performed a sexual act on himself in the view of a member of staff at the restaurant he was visiting.
Michael Mullan from Cookstown, reportedly exposed himself while sitting in the restaurant. He is accused of disturbing public decency by committing the sex act on himself while eating his meal alone.
According to Belfast Telegraph, the member of staff at the Chinese restaurant was so disturbed by his behaviour that she took photos on her phone, however, Mullan proceeded. He is also accused of making a derogatory comment to the woman and asking to use her hand before his sexual behaviour occurred.
The behaviour of the accused has been captured on CCTV in the restaurant, but Mullan has denied all allegations.
The incident is said to have occurred in Golden House takeaway in Draperstown.
