Man hospitalised after being attacked by gang wielding ‘hurleys and hatchets’

A MAN is recovering in hospital after reportedly being attacked by a group of armed men in Ireland this evening.

The incident took place in north inner-city Dublin at around 6pm.

According to the Irish Mirror, the man was attacked by a group of men wielding hurleys and hatchets.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the incident on Talbot Street.

A garda spokesperson said: “The incident occurred at approximately 6pm when the male became involved in an altercation with a number of other males.

"It is believed that hurley sticks and hatchets were involved in the incident.”
