THE FIRE broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A man in his 40s has died from a fire breaking out in his apartment.
According to IrishMirror, the man was living in the area of Castlebar, Co. Mayo before his life was taken by the blaze.
The fire occurred on Castle Street in the man's flat and the victim was aided by neighbours who called the authorities.
The man's remains were brought to Mayo University Hospital.
