A man, believed to be in his 20s, died while visiting County Clare earlier today.
The student was taking a photograph when he fell to his death.
He fell at approximately 3.15pm on January 4th and was located by the Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard in the water.
According to RTÉ, the man was pronounced dead at the scene before the deceased was taken to University Hospital Limerick for identification and a post-mortem examination.
Eyewitnesses interviewed by Gardaí at the scene confirmed the death was a tragic accident.
