A 23-YEAR-OLD man has died in Coolock, Co. Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
At approximately 2.20am on Saturday morning, a young man was reportedly shot dead in the area of Moatview Avenue in the North side of Dublin.
According to RTÉ, the victim of the shooting was at point-blank range on the street in Coolock, with the gunman shooting the deceased in the head.
The perpetrator of the crime was reportedly driven away immediately after the shooting, with Gardaí being led to believe the shooting relates to another gangland attack. An Garda Síochána have sealed off the scene of the crime, with a forensic examination pending following the attack.
An Garda Síochána in the area are currently appealing for witnesses and it is reported that the local Gardaí do not believe the shooting was related to the ongoing Hutch-Kinahan feud in the country's capital.
