THE INCIDENT happened near the area of Dundalk.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, a man in his twenties died following a car crash.
According to the Mirror, the man was driving when his car crashed into a wall and was fatally injured upon impact.
The 26-year-0ld driver was alone in the car on the Dundalk to Castleblaney Road at Rathmore but was killed when the vehicle hit the wall.
The body of the deceased has been moved Louth County Hospital, with local diversions of the road reportedly in place.
The scene of the crash has been sealed off pending a forensic examination and local Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
