A MAN has been charged in relation to the murder of a Romanian man in a park in Dublin last week.
Ioan Artene Bob, 49, was found seriously injured in Sean Walsh Memorial Park, Tallaght, shortly before 8am on Friday, April 13.
He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital in a critical condition but died a short time later.
A 38-year-old man was due to appear before Tallaght District Court at 10.30am this morning charged with Mr Bob's murder.
His arrest came on Wednesday after Gardaí launched a murder investigation, based on a post-mortem of the victim carried out by Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Margaret Bolster,
The examination revealed Mr Bob had been beaten to death and suffered multiple internal injuries.
The Romanian national had been in Ireland for three years and worked in construction. He had a partner and a son, aged 8, back in Romania.
The last confirmed sighting of Mr Bob was at 8.30pm on Thursday, April 12 in the Moore Street area of Dublin – less than 12 hours before he was found fatally injured.
