A man arrested in his 20s in relation to the fatal assault of a man in Portlaw, Waterford on Thursday 13th December, 2018 has been charged in relation to the assault.
53-year-old John Lowe died as a result of injuries sustained in the attack.
The arrested man appeared before a special sitting of Waterford District Court this evening, Friday 14th December, 2018 at 5.30p.m.
Stephen Keane, with an address of Coolfin Meadows in Portlaw, was remanded in custody until Monday.
