AN ARREST has been made following the death of a woman in Dublin.
A man has been taken into custody by Gardai after a woman died at a house in Clondalkin.
Gardai have confirmed that the woman was in her 40s after sustaining serious injuries.
Irish police were called to a house in Greenfort Drive in the early hours of Friday morning at 00:30 local time.
The unnamed female is believed to have suffered stab wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man arrested is thought to be in his 50s.
He is currently being questioned at Lucan Garda Station.
The house has also been sealed off while a forensic examination is conducted.
