A MAN who was arrested in the North of Ireland is due to appear in court in Scotland today in connection with the death of a man in Glasgow 21 years ago.
The 39-year-old was arrested in Derry yesterday by officers from Police Scotland, assisted by detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch.
Derek Sheerin was 24 when his body was found in the east end of Glasgow in September 1994.
The suspect was taken to Glasgow for questioning following his arrest and is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court this afternoon
Det Ch Insp Michael Harvey has appealed to people in Derry who have any information about the death of Mr Sheerin to contact detectives at Maydown using the non-emergency number 101, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
