A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in relation to the decapitation of several cats.
Over the Christmas period in 2017, there were 5 cats killed in the area of Northampton, leading local police to believe they were all performed by the same perpetrator.
According to METRO, the cats were all killed by their heads being cut off and left for the owners to find.
The first victim was called Rusty who was killed and left in a plastic bag on the owner's doorstep, the second victim was called Topsy who was murdered in the same way.
The third and fourth cats, whose identities have not been found as of yet, were placed on top of a car beside their owner's home.
Another cat called Amber was reportedly found without their head and tail.
Local police have warned cat-owners to be extra wary of their pet's whereabouts and making sure they sleep inside for the time being, until the killer of these cats has been identified and charged.
