A MAN has appeared in court following the seizure of €1million worth of cannabis on Thursday.
The drugs were discovered following a search of a van in the Kockaleva area near Collon in Co. Louth.
It is believed the drugs were ready for distribution and were intended for sale in Co. Louth.
A 25-year-old man was detained at Drogheda Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
He appeared at a special sitting of Louth District Court last night where he faced a charge of possession of the drug for the purpose of sale or supply to others.
