A MAN has died after an early morning crash between a tractor and a car in rural Ireland.
Gardai in Letterkenny Co Donegal are investigating a fatal collision which occurred on the main Letterkenny to Lifford road this morning shortly before 7am.
The 68 year old man, the driver of the tractor, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital.
The driver of the car was injured and also taken to Letterkenny University hospital for treatment his injuries are unknown at this stage.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
