A loco-motive idea? Driver arrested after car parked on Irish tram tracks

A DRVER has been arrested after a car was left parked on an Irish tram track in Dublin.

Posting on Twitter, An Garda Síochána revealed the driver of the silver car left their vehicle parked on the tracks near the Kylemore Luas stop on Dublin's busy Naas Road.

Gardaí said the driver had been arrested to undergo 'intoxicant testing.'

Inevitably, the driver's off the rails driving received some brilliant responses.

The 'off the rails' parking comes just days after Gardaí issued a fixed charged penalty notice to two drivers in Limerick after their haphazard parking in disabled parking bays.

Gardaí also revealed neither of the two drivers had a permit to park in the disabled bays, and reminded the public to respect all road users.
