LIAM NEESON took time out from filming his latest Hollywood blockbuster to pay a visit to a local cancer hospital where he posed for pictures with patients and staff.
The Northern Irish actor is currently over in the US filming his latest blockbuster effort Honest Thief alongside Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh.
It’s a project that has seen Neeson based over in Worcester, Massachusetts, a city boasting a rich association with Irish immigrants.
With the production filming various action scenes across the city, the Taken actor has evidently developed an affinity with his new surroundings.
So, when a break came up in work on the film, Neeson decided to pay a visit to the St. Vincent Cancer and Wellness Center.
It was an opportunity to meet the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff at the facility as well as some of the brave patients fighting back against the deadly disease.
The acting legend posed for pictures, recreating some of his most iconic poses in a variety of pictures that went down a storm with fans online.
Twitter was awash with images of delighted fans posing alongside Neeson.

Coming in the days running up to Christmas, Neeson’s visit was the perfect gift at what is undoubtedly an emotional and busy time for all those at St Vincents.
His efforts were well received by those working at the hospital.

A wonderful gesture from one of Ireland’s very best, Liam Neeson has never shied away from supporting good causes.
He recently lent his support to the annual Stand Up To Cancer campaign, starring in an emotional video promoting the initiative.
Neeson has made no secret of the fact he has been personally affected by cancer.
Four of his relatives have died of the disease in the past few years, with three of them succumbing to breast cancer in the past few years.
