LIAM NEESON is in mourning following the death of his nephew, Ronan Sexton, five years after he suffered a serious head injury during a night out with friends.
The Belfast Telegraph understands Sexton passed away with his family in Cushendall over the weekend. He was 35-years-old at the time of his death.
The youngest son of Neeson’s sister Bernadette, Sexton suffered serious head injuries during an accident that occurred during a night out with friends in Brighton back in June 2014.
In the early hours of Sunday June 22nd, Sexton climbed on to a phone box close to the town’s famous pier and some 20 feet off the ground.
However, the young man lost his balance, falling to the ground and suffering serious injuries as a result
Taken the Royal Sussex County Hospital before being transferred to Hustwood Park Hospital, Sexton’s condition was initially critical.
But while he was eventually able to return home to his family, Sexton never recovered from the injuries incurred that night.
He’s now passed away with the Telegraph confirming the family has asked for privacy as they mourn their loss.
Sexton, from Worthing, is the youngest of six children.
