LIAM NEESON is back on familiar ground in the first trailer for Men in Black International, the upcoming spin-off film to the Will Smith-led trilogy of the same.
The Irish actor looks set for a starring role in the sci-fi comedy franchise based on the comic book of the same name.
Anyone who has seen a Men in Black movie knows the drill by now: black suits, shades, cool weaponry and some rather unusual-looking aliens.
The main difference comes with the central cast.
Smith and co-stars Tommy Lee Jones and Rip Torn aren’t returning, with a stellar cast of new characters joining the MIB ranks.
Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are taking on the central roles as the suit-wearing alien protectors, but it’s Neeson who is the big draw for The Irish Post.
Arguably the biggest action movie star on the planet right now thanks to the Taken franchise and the various films that have followed that same blueprint, Neeson looks suited, booted and ready to kick as the head of the London branch of MIB.
In fact, much of the action appears to take place in the UK with Emma Thompson reprising her role as the head of the MIB, Agent O.
Throw in a cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rafe Spall and it’s fair to say Men In Black: International is shaping up nicely.
Directed by F. Gary Gray, best known for the high-octane actioner The Fate of the Furious, it looks like Neeson and Co. are set for more alien-led action.
Neeson, who turned 67 in June, is showing no signs of slowing down and, from the looks of it, appears to be back to his dry, butt-kicking best for this movie.
