Liam Gallagher brings entire box of Tayto cheese and onion onto private jet as he flies home after 'biblical' Cork gig

LIAM GALLAGHER lavished praise on Cork as he jetted home with a box of Tayto crisps following his gig in the rebel city last night.

The former Oasis frontman, 46, took to the stage at Cork's Irish Independent Park on Sunday for a highly-anticipated solo show that was only slightly dampened by the rain.

But Liam certainly wasn't looking back in anger, tweeting earlier: "Cork you were biblical lastnight if the rain comes they run and hide there heads do they fuck c’mon you know WHY ME?WHY NOT. LG x".

And returning to Twitter this afternoon after boarding his private jet, the rocker posted a picture of an entire box of Tayto cheese & onion sitting across from him – with its seat belt on, because you can't be too careful.

He captioned the image: "What a BELTER LG x".

It's not the first time Liam has shared his love of Ireland's national crisps – last year, he gave the right answer when asked whether he prefered Tayto or its unquestionably inferior English alternative Walkers.

Earlier this month, the Mancunian musician – whose parents hail from Co. Mayo – announced his second solo album Why Me? Why Not. will be available from September 20, following on from the success of 2017's As You Were.

A week ago, estranged brother Noel played his own massive Irish gig at Malahide Castle in Dublin – but there's little sign of the ex-Oasis songbirds patching things up anytime soon.
