A HOUSE in the Dublin suburb of Finglas was targeted by gunmen in an early morning attack.
Multiple shots were fired shortly after 6am this morning through the windows of a terraced house on Rathoath Drive.
Gardai were alerted to the incident after sounds of gunfire were reported.
According to Independent.ie, at least nine shots were fired at the house, hitting the living room window on the ground floor and an upstairs bedroom window.
The weapon used is believed to have been a handgun and the gunman made his getaway by motorbike.
Bullet holes are visible in the windows of the house following the shooting and the area was sealed off for a forensic examination by members of the garda technical bureau.
There were no reports of any injuries and it is not yet known if there was anyone in the house at the time of the attack.
Gardai are now investigating the incident.
