JACK BLACK joined fellow Hollywood heavyweights Hugh Jackman and Rob McElhenney by indulging in a pint of Guinness during a recent stay in Dublin.
The School of Rock star took to Instagram to share an image of himself enjoying a pint of the black stuff in the Irish capital.
It’s a well-known fact that the very best pints of Guinness are those poured in Ireland and, specifically, Dublin, which is also the home of the iconic Irish stout.
Some of that is down to the simple fact that Irish bar staff are seasoned professionals when it comes to pouring the perfect pint – something a fair few Englishmen could do with working on.
That was something Black learned to his very obvious delight during this recent visit, which came as part of the musician and actor’s tour as one half of comedy rock duo Tenacious D.
Black and bandmate Kyle Gass performed at the 3Arena in Dublin as part of the duo’s wildly successful Post-Apocalypto Tour.
And while Black’s stay in Dublin was decidedly brief, he made sure to fit in a few pints of Guinness as part of a warm tribute to his fans in Ireland.
Writing alongside the Instagram snap, Black simply said: “Thanks Dublin...you da best!”
The feeling was evidently mutual with Irish fans responding to the image with thanks of their own.
“The Dublin show totes awesome,” one wrote. “Thank you, guys.”
