IVANKA TRUMP has congratulated Boris Johnson on “becoming the next Prime Minister of the United Kingston”.
The US president’s daughter took to Twitter to offer her congratulations, which soon went viral – though not for the reasons Ivanka would have hoped.
In her haste to welcome Johnson, Ivanka managed to confuse the United Kingdom with a United Kingston.
Whether this refers to Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, or Kingston-upon-Thames is unclear, but the President’s daughter soon found herself the source of ridicule online.
If Trump is the hamberder, Ivanka is the covfefe . If Trump is the Prince of Whales, Ivanka is the PM of the United Kingston. Like father, like daughter/wife. #UnitedKingston pic.twitter.com/gFHJaVwNlY

Ivanka sends her congratulations to the Prime Minister of the United “Kingston” shortly after Trump praised the Prince of “Whales.” These people are so utterly incompetent and embarrassing even on the smallest stuff. pic.twitter.com/Q5c6v00YYv

What makes this particular gaffe so amusing is the fact that it seems almost unfathomable that it could merely be passed off as a spelling error.
Ms Trump has used the phrase United Kingdom in the past.
There’s also no such thing as a United Kingston.
Also, Kingston is a very different word to Kingdom.
The mostly widely held theory suggests she typed the message on an iPhone and accidentally press the “s” button rather than the “d” with auto correct doing the rest.
In any case, Ivanka soon deleted the post, later replacing it with a correctly-spelt one.
Congratulations @BorisJohnson on becoming the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Bad spelling runs in the famous, with The Donald previously derided for his use of the entirely misspelled words “separation” and, most bizarrely, “waite”.
Prince Charles was once called "the Prince of Whales" while he even referred to his wife as “Melanie” on one occasion.
Thankfully, President Trump didn’t fluff his lines this time, tweeting:
“Congratulations to Boris Johnson on becoming the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He will be great!”
