A DONEGAL woman has been killed in Thailand.
27-year-old Louise Furey was holidaying in Koh Samui with her boyfriend before she fell from her balcony.
The Glenties woman arrived in Thailand on Wednesday with her partner Sam Bulmer and were staying in Replay Residence & Pool Villa
According to The Irish Mirror, the Irish woman was living in Guernsey on the Channel Island before her holiday to Thailand.
Police have launched an investigation into her death and members of the Furey family have travelled to Thailand to bring back their sister's remains.
Brian Carr of the Glenties Community Group expressed the sorrow Glenties were feeling: "Louise moved to Guernsey a few years ago but was a frequent visitor home. You would see herself and her close school friends catching up what had happened since they last met.
He said the residents of the Donegal town were thinking of the family at this time: "The town is numb and in total shock with such terrible news. Our thoughts and prayers are with Louise's family at this time,"
