Irish woman, 20, dies in Croatia on holiday island of Havr

THE family of an Irish woman who died suddenly while on holiday on the island of Havr in Croatia have paid tribute to their 'precious' daughter.

Sarah Lee-Anne Reid, 20, was holidaying on the Adriatic island when she passed away on Friday, May 26.

Ms Reid was orignally from Magheraknock near Ballynahinch in Co. Down.

According to local reports, there were no signs of violence and a post-mortem would be carried out to establish the cause of her death.

Her family have since paid tribute to their 'precious daughter’.

In an announcement released through Douglas Funeral Directors, they said Ms Reid was a “much loved sister... and granddaughter” who will be “missed always”.

The island of Hvar is one of Croatia’s most popular tourist destinations. Hollywood stars and celebrities have been known to visit the island.

Ms Reid’s funeral details are yet to be released, but her obituary says: "Friends welcome at her home on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Further details later.

"Loved and missed always. Whoever comes to Me I will never cast out. John ch. 6 v. 37."
