THE brisk, cold weather only looks to get worse this wintry weekend.
This week the weather in Ireland has had a real bite in the air, the feeling that it could snow or freeze over was pretty unanimous in the grand consensus.
This weekend, the conditions look to only worsen. Saturday's weather is predicted as cold and breezy with potential showers of rain and hailstones promised. Temperatures to reach between 5 to 7 degrees with winds to occur during the day.
On Saturday night, showers will become few and far between with most of the country becoming dry. Frost is set to be widespread overnight.
On Sunday morning, clouds are to gather along the east coast and showers are promised for these areas.
Lowest temperatures are set to be -1 to +3 degrees light and breezes have been described as moderate.
