Irish public warned that missing West of Ireland teenager is ‘armed’ with rifle and ammunition

THE Irish public have been asked for their help to find a missing teenager who Gardaí say is believed to be armed and should not be approached.

Jack Dinan, 19, has been missing since Tuesday when he was last seen at his home on Considine Road in Ennis, Co. Clare at around 10pm.

The teenager is described as being 6ft (1.8m) tall, of slim build with black hair and wears a tooth brace on his upper teeth.

He was wearing a grey hooded top and grey spot camouflaged jacket when he left home on October 31.

He may also be carrying a green rucksack.

Jack's family are anxious for him to make contact with home and Gardaí say he may appear agitated or confused.

They added that he should not be approached under any circumstances as he is believed to be in possession of a .22 rifle and a number of rounds of ammunition.

Searches for Jack are currently being carried out in the Ennis area and a Garda helicopter has been deployed.

Anyone with any information on Jack Dinan's whereabouts are being asked to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 684 8100 or the emergency numbers 999 or 112.
