The Irish Post has this week published its Companies100 index for 2013.
The 16 page colour supplement, published with tomorrow's edition (out July 24), includes an A-Z company index and profiles of 100 of the top Irish companies in Britain.
The supplement is sponsored by Enterprise Ireland and supported by the Irish Embassy of London.
The Irish Post Companies100 index is a celebration of the success and longevity of Irish businesses in Britain and the people behind them.
Irish Post Editor Siobhán Breatnach said: “Our A-Z directory launches at a time when British-Irish economic relations are firmly in the spotlight, with the growth of trade and commercial links increasingly important to both nations.
"The 100 companies we have listed highlight the great number of companies who have made a mark here in Britain. But it is by no means an endless list.”
She added: “We intend to grow the index year-on-year, just as the companies within it - both stalwarts of industry and fledgling firms - continue to do.”
The publication of The Irish Post’s Companies100 index is a response to the recent shift towards the promotion of Irish business in Britain and vice versa as well as the explosion of Irish business networking groups across Britain in the last number of years.
Editor Siobhán Breatnach said: “Networking groups such as the Irish International Business Network and the London Irish Business Society have sprung up to allow Irish business owners and directors to come together and share their wealth of knowledge and skills.
“The launch of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce in 2011 further highlighted the strength of the British-Irish business relationship. While our Companies100 partners Enterprise Ireland provide another excellent showcase of the innovative ways Irish businesses old and new are currently taking shape, succeeding and often leading in the British market.”
The Companies100 index includes a detailed list of leading Irish companies, directors and business owners in Britain.
It forms part of The Irish Post VIP series of business publications for 2013, which culminate in the inaugural VIP Business Gala Dinner in October – hosted by Sky News broadcaster Eamonn Holmes.
