IRISH publican Gerry O’Brien’s popular watering hole The Churchill Arms has been acknowledged among a select list of British pubs offering the best real ale.
The multi-award-winning licensee, at the Kensington pub for more than 25 years, has consistently proven his business prowess and ability to adapt to any change in the economic climate.
So it was little surprise to his regulars or the industry when he was commended once again for his ability to keep the tills ringing, while offering top quality food and drink and service with a dash of Irish hospitality.
The Churchill Arms was listed as Pub of The Year by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, making the Co. Clare native’s establishment one of only 10 chosen for the award in the Greater London area.
A CAMRA spokesperson explained: “The winning pubs are selected based on customer service, value for money, decor, customer mix, atmosphere and, of course, the quality of the beer!”
