A CO. Leitrim hat designer took the top prize at Cheltenham’s Ladies Day yesterday.
Jennifer Wrynne walked away with £15,000 worth of merchandise after being voted best of the bunch in the #ColourMeMarch Best dressed lady competition.
The 25-year-old wowed the judges with a headpiece of her own design, which she teamed with an emerald green dress from Covet boutique in Dublin's Powerscourt shopping centre.
She completed the outfit with a fur stole, which is a vintage item she found in Paris, a pair of silver Jimmy Choos and a clutch from Louis Vuitton.
A milliner since 2011, Jennifer has previously worked for Brown Thomas as a visual merchandiser and studied at the Grafton Academy in Dublin.
Her hats and headpieces have proven popular, with RTÉ stars Maura Derrane and Claire Byrne, as well as Channel 4’s racing presenter Emma Spencer on her books.
This year was the first time the Festival's fashion competition was hosted and voted for over social media, with Jennifer's stylish ensemble winning top marks from the public.
Her prize includes a necklace worth £2,000, a hotel and spa weekend, shopping vouchers and more – totaling over £15,000.
Jennifer, who said she was shocked and overwhelmed, tweeted today: "Still on a high from yesterday - cannot believe my luck!"
