Dublin Fire Brigade showed the devastating results of leaving the power supply on when not in use.
After the heatwave-like weather on the Emerald Isle, there were multiple fire warnings around the country.
But one household appliance, in particular, has been linked to fires in the home.
Dublin Fire Brigade have given a warning about the dangers with leaving the power on when a shower's not in use.
The firefighting force tweeted: "Electric shower at home? Always turn off power to the shower at the isolation switch when finished. We had fire engines from Kilbarrack and North Strand at this shower fire earlier. The owners closed the doors on the fire which limited damage to the bathroom."
