AN IRISH family has taken creativity to a whole new level after transforming their entire house into their very own version of legendary Dublin nightclub Copper Face Jacks.
With nightclubs closed until August 10 at the very earliest, an unnamed family has decided to bring the party home by turning their house into one of Ireland’s newest nightspots.
In a video posted to Reddit, the unidentified user known only as ‘Podge Henry’ takes viewers on a whistle-stop tour of the new venue’s various facilities.
It starts at the front door, where a man (his brother) serves as the resident bouncer and security guard, checking ID and guest lists before letting him in.
Once inside, a dancefloor, complete with flashing disco lights can be seen while Mark McCabe’s familiar floor-filler Maniac 2000 can be heard from the next room.
Viewers then meet a woman (his sister) working as DJ and bartender while another partgoer (his mum) can be making shapes on the dancefloor.
The camera then returns to the hall, passing another shut door with a sign that says “Staff” before the action heads to the bathroom where we meet the toilet attendant (his dad) sitting on a chair looking for tips.
An amusing and highly creative clip, the family’s efforts have won plenty of plaudits online.
"Knowing my family, the bouncer wouldn’t let me in" one fan on Reddit said.
“All you were missing was a person running around with a mop," another joked.
“‘Not gonna lie… I would currently even go to that place,” a third chimed in with.
“Desperate times mean desperate thoughts.’
Most were just enjoyed it for what it was: a great joke well executed.
“That got a genuine audible laugh out of me,” one person said. “Well done.”
Well done indeed.
