IRISH business owners in Britain are more likely to buy Irish products.
That is according to the Irish International Business Network (IIBN).
The latest study carried out by IIBN found that 9 out of 10 Irish business people in Britain would be more likely to purchase an Irish product, when presented with two identical objects.
Latest figures show that 5 million people in Britain claim Irish heritage, providing the 50,000 first generation Irish business owners with an opportunity to tap into this market.
More than 93 per cent of the savvy entrepreneurs and business people surveyed said that their Irish identity was important in how they do business; while almost half (49 per cent) said that they would be more willing to do trade with other Irish businesses across Britain.
It appears to be a winning formula – with 77 per cent of Irish businesses in Britain reporting an increase in turnover in 2014.
